Mega Man X on iOS looks... meh :(

Ugh, Capcom... what are you thinking here?  Anybody remember the original Mega Man X?  Does this in any way seem superior?

A few things I've gathered from other reviews, is that some music and animations are missing, and the ability to backtrack through the stages has been completely removed.  Hmm, yet, they now have the "feature" to buy all heart tanks, all energy tanks, etc., basically all the stuff you'd backtrack to get originally.  Hmmm, coincidence?

Capcom, if you want to do this right, run a modified but emulated version of the game, and keep everything as it was in the original.  But go ahead and add the ability to buy all the upgrades, and the networking enhancements, etc.  I'm positive people would use those new features.  But when you take away the ability to get everything you could get in the original by removing features, you're just going to tick people off :\  Case in point, the vast majority of votes on that video... are thumbs down.

And for the record... I hate most add-on DLC.  Most of the time (not all the time) it's just a gimmicky way for the developers to squeeze extra cash out of people for content that was ready at the same time as the game.  Apparently an industry that's bigger than Hollywood needs even MORE cashflow...
